The New Dawn Sequel/DLC Plans
Polish horror game studio behind the Silent Hill 2 remake (2024), Bloober Team, has confirmed that a remake of the original 1999’s Silent Hill, which was initially announced by Konami on June 12, 2025, is now in production.
During investor call on Sept. 30, 2025, the studio’s management also stated that at the moment, aside from marketing updates, the company is not actively working on the development (neither a sequel nor DLC) of its recently launched unique IP, Cronos: The New Dawn.
According to Bloober Team’s management, the company has two first-party development teams, one of which is currently working on Silent Hill 1, while the other has started another, yet-to-be-revealed project, with five projects in total being carried out as part of the studio’s second-party efforts.
Nevertheless, Bloober Team representatives highlighted that the studio is definitely considering further development of the Cronos: The New Dawn IP in the future.
Bloober Team’s Cronos: The New Dawn surpassed 200,000 copies sold in just four days since its launch, while the Silent Hill 2 remake sold over one million units within four days of release, and over two million units as of January 2025.
