PlayStation Photography Book and Sneakers Revealed, Celebrating 30th Anniversary
Sony revealed its exclusive merchandise to commemorate its 30th anniversary for PlayStation. One of the goods is a photography book priced at $125; for those wanting to make a bigger investment, the Digital Edition costs $325, according to the official preorder page for the products. The photography book is 400 pages, providing a “definitive visual chronicle of Sony’s world-changing videogame console.”
In addition, Sony also teased the PlayStation x Reebox collaboration sneaker; the price point for the shoes has not been revealed in USD. The sneakers have a PlayStation logo on the side, and come in a light grey shade reminiscent of the original PlayStation console.

PlayStation: The First 30 Years, the name of the photobook, showcases an archive of R&D prototypes, concept sketches, and development models. It also features never-before-seen consoles from experimental early mockups that “never left the studio to the finely honed forms of the PlayStation.”
The PlayStation: The First 30 Years Deluxe Edition comes with an exposed binding, clamshell presentation box, and exclusive prints. It costs $200 more than the Standard Edition.
The original Playstation released in Dec. 4, 1994, releasing in the United States later in 1995. In 2005, the PlayStation became the first console to ever sell over 100 million units, according to Britannica.
