Tencent-Backed Ubisoft Subsidiary Named Vantage Studios Begins Operations
Ubisoft revealed more of the operating structure for its subsidiary backed by Tencent, with $1.36 billion in funding, as reported by GamesBeat on Oct. 1, 2025.
The name of the company, according to the report, is Vantage Studios, and the entity’s official first day of operations is today.
As was previously reported by Gaming.News, founded in March 2025, this subsidiary, is led in part by the son of Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot as co-CEO and holding the rights to major franchises like Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Rainbow Six.
According to GamesBeat’s report, Vantage Studios gathers together teams primarily based in Montréal, Quebec, Sherbrooke, Saguenay, Barcelona, and Sofia.
