Real-time strategy game Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV has shown its first in-game capture trailer, showing players what the game has to offer. The game was announced at Gamescom 2025 in August.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV is currently being developed by King Art Games and will be published by Deep Silver. It is the fourth installment in the franchise of Dawn of War, but the first one not being developed by Relic Entertainment.

The game’s description describes it as “the biggest Dawn of War saga to date.” According to the developers, it was co-written by Black Library author John French. They also mentioned that players can play in solo or co-op.

Players can also paint their troops, just like how a lot of fans of Warhammer 40,000 do so with their real-life models. It is unclear if players can make their own maps or what other customization features are included in the game.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV still has no release date, but it is expected to come out in 2026. Fans of the game can already wishlist the game on Steam. There’s no news if it’s coming to the consoles or other storefronts.
